    Phlogius sp. "Sarina"

Posted by Ron Waters on 14th Jul 2023

Minibeast Wildlife deliver a fantastic service. In my case I purchased a spiderling ("sling") of an Australian native tarantula Phlogius crassipes originating from Sarina Queensland. What I like about Minibeast's tarantulas (in fact all their invertebrate pets) is that they are captive bred, which means that they are parasite free and they're not being taken from the wild. Mine is tiny and has a few good years of growing yet. It arrived at my PO box securely packed and in good condition and has settled in nicely into its new, but temporary (it will have successively larger enclosures as it grows) home. This is my second purchase from Minibeast Wildlife. Recently I bought a Golden Huntsman that is growing very quickly and will become one of Australia's largest huntsmen. You can't go wrong with Minibeast Wildlife. The Hendersons are passionate conservationists and incredibly knowledgeable about Australia's invertebrate fauna. If you are into spiders I can also highly recommend "Spidentify" their spider identification app. 10/10

    Sarina

Packed securely with a strain of sphagnum moss that could supply the sling for atleast 8 days. sling is really un-sexed so you still have a chance of getting a female T. Unlike others they have determined the sex of the T and send out the male ones.
