This rare and spectacular insect leaves chameleons in the dust.
No one beats these guys for camouflage. One of only two species of true leaf insects in Australia, they are so cryptic, that not much was known about the adult female until 2012, when one was found in Kuranda, QLD. The name 'Walaphyllium' translates to dancing leaf; 'Wala' from the Dharumbal language meaning 'dance' and 'Phyllium' from Greek language meaning leaf. In terms of a amazing insect pet, you can't go past the Australian Leaf insect!

My new lockdown friend
Thought I’d been duped and just sent a box of leaves, had to really look to find Sneaky - she is so beautiful and so beautifully camouflaged. Can’t wait to watch her grow, such a fascinating creature.
