My hooded katydid arrived safely in the mail. He didn't move much at first but is now warming up to his new environment. Couldn't be happier!

    Fabulous!

I bought a female a little while ago and love her so much I decided to get a male too. They are both really healthy and thriving. They are friendly and easy to look after. I love having these insects in my room! All my friends are jealous of my bugs!

    Katydid review

I got a male and a female and they arrived early and in perfect condition. Easy species to keep and great to handle as their not as jumpy as other species. Always ever had 10/10 experiences with MBW and I'll be purchasing again in the future.

    The Perfect Mini Pet

Posted by Emma on 21st Jul 2020

I bought two a while back and was sent 3! All three were already adults, but they were happy and healthy and I absolutely love them!! A bit shy and unsure at first, but they warm up to you very quickly. Two have recently passed due to age, but the third is still going strong and is happy/healthy. I recently bought a new juvenile which successfully shed just last week. I highly recommend this katydid species to anyone thinking of purchasing. They are such friendly, good-natured insects that make amazing pets - easy to handle, feed and care for.

Fantastic support, sent me an extra bug, wonderfully packaged and arrived safe even after eight days in transit due to COVID restrictions. Couldn't recommend MBW more.

Amazing! We bought one and two were sent, luckily tho as one died a couple of weeks later. The one who survived is thriving! Is full grown and looks amazing!!

    Gracious creatures

These arrived safe and sound and within a week settled beautifully and moving around with much graceful waving of long antennae, especially when new fresh leaf food put in and enclosure misted. One has already successful shed its skin....it gives a great appreciation of how they live and how alive the natural world can be when unpolluted, with these cryptic beautiful insects. They are a silent species unlike other katydids. Love them.
