the female arrived nice and healthy, at first stayed in the corner of the enclosure but the next day she had made her web. i fed her for the first time and she did not hesitate to grab it. smaller than i expected but a lovely looking spider, i will definitly buy from minibeasts again.

Although the St. Andrew’s Cross spiders are sold as unsexed juveniles, I asked if they could send me a male to breed with my female, so MiniBeasts sent me an adult male, AND a bonus juvenile female! Thanks guys, that was such a fun surprise! Oh, and the little guy got right to work: by morning, there was an egg sack!

My spider arrived healthy and calm to handle. Within a few days she set up a large web which looks lovely, especially when covered in water droplets. She stays in the middle of her web apart from when repairing or catching prey but nonetheless is a very interesting and cute companion in my study.
