An overwhelming favourite, the Spiny Leaf Insect is a hardy pet, easy to keep and a fascinating addition to your home or school.

As far as insect pets go, Spiny leaf insects are a winner! They have amazing camouflage, and are able to be handled gently. These captive-bred insects mainly feed on eucalyptus leaves, and can be kept in groups or on their own. As adults, the females have short, flightless wings, and the adult males have long wings and are capable of flying short distances. Females are also able to reproduce without a male!

    So pleased with my latest purchase of Spiny leaf insects. The three of them (two males and a female) are already settled in. It's great to have a group of them to watch grow up. I know my four year old niece and 8 year old nephew will look forward to when they are asked to insect-sit over the holidays.

    Thank you so much for your wonderful service. We are very happy with our spiny leaf insects. Arrived quickly, and safely and seem very happy. We ordered a female and received an extra one- which my daughter is thrilled about. They have brought her so much interest and she loves the responsibility of caring for them and providing them a great habitat. We bought the shelter and a spray bottle too. Would thoroughly recommend.

    Leafo (creative name I know) arrived quickly and was happy in the supplied container. It was super easy to set up with the mesh pop up enclosure!
