An overwhelming favourite, the Spiny Leaf Insect is a hardy pet, easy to keep and a fascinating addition to your home or school.

As far as insect pets go, Spiny leaf insects are a winner! They have amazing camouflage, and are able to be handled gently. These captive-bred insects mainly feed on eucalyptus leaves, and can be kept in groups or on their own. As adults, the females have short, flightless wings, and the adult males have long wings and are capable of flying short distances. Females are also able to reproduce without a male!

    I gave this as a birthday present to a 8 year old. We were amazed the stickies were alive and thriving when they arrived all the way to Bathurst NSW. One happy child! The postage box with ‘live harmless insects’ written on it was a huge hit
